The truth is that the health and fitness industry provides minimal to no guidance that actually works for wheelchair users. 

Most programs, classes, and advice are designed for able-bodied people. Which means, if you want to lose weight or get fit, you must adapt to their program.  And if it doesn't work, you feel like you are failing.  You're left thinking it might be impossible to feel good or drop a dress size again. 

It's not you, it's that their programs weren't meant for you. You just needed a program that was designed around your reality from day one.

Hi, I'm Tennille and I created the AdaptWell™ method because I felt frustrated that I couldn’t find a program built for bodies like mine. I used to teach fitness classes at a gym before my injury, and now I teach dance-style Zumba classes from my wheelchair online. I've been a wheelchair user since 2008 and have learned through trial and error what physical activity and foods work for me.
